JOB SUMMARY:

Responsibilities include managing, controlling and monitoring the daily processes and work flows of the Home Delivery Team as efficiently, safely and productively as possible.? This role will oversee all activities related to delivering merchandise to the customer without damage while following Badcock?s SOP?s.? The Supervisor will motivate, evaluate, develop, and coach associates as needed.? Other duties include paperwork, filing; developing and implementing team goals; preparing reports, summaries and analysis on the operations and communicating with management. Must be able to work Weekends, Holidays and Nights.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Provides supervision of Delivery Team.
  2. Ensures associates handle merchandise with proper use of a dolly, shipping blankets and tie-downs to secure the merchandise.
  3. Uses STOREnet and Dispatch Track to schedule and monitor daily deliveries.
  4. Writes exchanges and returns in STOREnet and schedules them using STOREnet and Dispatch Track.
  5. Ensures customers receive pre-delivery and post-delivery calls as needed.
  6. Has the ability to train less experienced team members and temps in the fundamentals of stripping, prepping and delivery of merchandise.
  7. Ensure associates properly review, document and complete DOT inspections on a daily basis.
  8. Ensure associate takes the necessary steps required to prevent damage to inventory, company vehicle and to customer property.
  9. Ensure associates maintain a clean, organized, and fully functioning work space.
  10. Monitor associate to adhere to all work place safety guidelines.
  11. Secures and maintains the company issued tools.
  12. Maintains cleaning supplies and equipment; notifies management concerning repairs.
  13. Learns?and complies with the company?s loss prevention program by working in a safe manner; identifies, reports and resolves unsafe conditions that may result in property damage or personal injury.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES and other REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Valid, clean driver?s license ? eligible to be DOT certified to operate a box truck if required.
  2. Ability to physically and safely lift up to 75 lbs., or move 200 lbs. with a dolly or assistance of another person without injury or damage to the merchandise.
  3. Ability to stand, walk, sit, twist, bend, kneel, crouch, stoop, climb and reach with hands and arms.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  1. High school diploma / GED.
  2. Six months retail customer service, staff supervision, and delivery experience.
  3. Ability to read maps, shipping / packing documents and assembly instructions.
  4. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, management and personnel by telephone, or through written communication; assimilate information and make decisions.
  5. Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Effective time management skills.
  6. Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations.
  7. Mechanical ability to install and service home appliance, electronics, upholstery and case goods.
  8. Intermediate computer skills ? knowledge of MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  9. Basic math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, etc.
  10. Ability to assimilate information and make decisions.
  11. Work under pressure in a detailed, organized manner.
  12. Demonstrate ability to motivate teams and manage conflict.
  13. Strong planning skills with the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  14. Ability to work additional hours with little or no notice; ability to work weekends.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
