Quality Assurance Manager

Summary:
Responsible for using analytical and quantitative methods to find root cause for damaged and failing products. Work with stores and other areas of the business to collect information regarding damages and how they occur. Work with supplier to correct construction and packaging.

Essential Functions:


Contact and work with suppliers to resolve quality issues.
Work with the Distribution Centers on damage related issues to identify and track improvements and prepare charge back forms for finance to request credit.
Provide a single point of contact for business units and Quality Assurance and acts as a resource/conduit between units of the organization.
Monitor the Quality Alerts as they are entered to identify significant damage issues. Follow up on the high level issues and after providing the necessary documentation, contact the suppliers and/or the Distribution Centers for improvements
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Bachelor degree in packaging, package engineering, hard sciences, quality field or related management. Relevant experience may be acceptable.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
Familiar with quality and continuous improvement concepts.
Good project management skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with management and personnel by telephone, or through written communication; assimilate information and make decisions; work under pressure in a detailed organized manner. Comfortable working with individuals at all organizational levels.
Ability to communicate findings, make recommendations and facilitate change.
Computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and email.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS and other REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., sit, stand, walk, bend, twist and reach with arms and hands.
Some domestic travel required (Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
