Oversee the space plan, layout and theming of the annual Dealer Show.
Support local stores in the execution, training and maintenance of visual displays.
Collaborate cross functionally with merchandising, retail operations and marketing to execute visual merchandising strategies.
Responsibilities Create store layouts for new and existing locations.
Create approved merchandise plans using corporation guidelines, Dealer input and Visual Merchandising standards.
Create and maintain tools for the dealers and corporate stores to maximize product presentation.
Develop product education and presentation tools to guide local store employees in maintaining visual merchandising standards.
Lead and direct the visual merchandising team in delivering a consistent and reliable approach to store planning.
Commit to the leadership and development of team members while fostering a positive, collaborative work culture.
Collaborate with other business leaders to ensure visual merchandising strategy and execution aligns with retail, marketing and merchandising initiatives.
Consult on the designs and execution of photography for merchandise photoshoots.
Oversee and manage to project timelines for timely execution of workload.
Maintain a template library of furniture plans for future use.
Additional Responsibilities Assist with various special projects.
Attend group meetings, seminars and trade shows.
Occasionally travel to setup and redesign stores as needed.
Attend and assist in the planning of the annual Dealer Show.
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or related field.
7 or more years of experience in visual merchandising or related field 5 or more years of experience in managing and leading a team.
Previous furniture industry and/or home goods experience preferred; previous retail experience required.
AutoCAD proficient, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel experience Computer graphics knowledge preferred Working knowledge of space planning and style mapping Experience with design/decorating - scale, proportion, placement, color, etc.
Ability to communicate effectively with management, co-workers, outside representatives and personnel by telephone, in person, or through written communication.
Ability to assimilate information and make decisions Ability to work under pressure in a detailed, organized manner.
Ability to sit at the computer and view monitor, stand, walk, bend, stoop.
Ability to lift and move furniture up to 75 lbs.
