Summary:
Position located in Mulberry, FL Responsible for coordinating and dispatching loads to maximize productivity and ensure prompt, courteous and efficient service to all customers; maintain driver records and reports in the Transportation Management Program (TMP); Process payroll for all drivers; Input out of state mileage reports for fuel taxes; Maintain files on tractors and trailers and process all department invoices; Input data, maintain monthly metrics data and update transportation KPI report in Excel; Review and identify corrections on DOT logs for all locations and maintain central file; Ensure driver compliance with DOT regulations.
Essential Functions:
Coordinate and dispatch loads to ensure prompt, courteous and efficient service to all customers.
Review driver DOT Logs and Trip Reports.
Identify corrections to be made by drivers.
Maintain central DOT log files for entire department.
Maintain files on daily schedules, trip reports, driver confidential jackets, distribution center freight movement and other misc.
files.
Communicate information concerning traffic process throughout the corporation and outside sources.
Answers questions to support the Traffic Department.
Process (input and reports) trip report and driver payroll data in the Traffic Management Program (TMP).
Develop manifest for daily schedules.
Create/develop memos, spreadsheets and graphs for monthly metrics.
Maintain central files on equipment and process invoices for accounting.
Review driver vehicle inspections for disposition.
Schedule pick-up of returned product from retail stores JOB
Qualifications:
High School diploma / GED Two to four years logistics office experience, to include dispatch.
Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel), etc.
; ability to learn new applications and programs Knowledge of the accounting and payroll processes.
Ability to communicate effectively with others by telephone, or through written communication Assimilate information and make decisions Work under pressure in a detailed, organized manner Ability to multitask in a deadline driven environment and prioritize duties on a daily basis Superior organizational skills Working knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations Dedication to teamwork and a willingness to assist all members of the department Ability to read and understand instructions, manuals, directions, documents, etc.
