Start your adventure building America's infrastructure today! The Foreman is responsible for ensuring that everything goes smoothly at a construction site while leading, motivating, and engaging a team of track laborers.
This position will serve as the liaison and point of contact between the track laborers and superintendent.
You must be available to work full-time (40 hrs/week) subject to overtime, on-call (24/7), alternating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Starting wage is $23.
00 - $28.
00 per hour depending on experience.
What You'll Do:
Oversee and ensure that all safety rules are being followed at all sites at all times Develop work schedules in accordance with the availability of employees, contractors and labor laws and monitor the personnel Report project status to superiors, site engineers and officials regularly Resolve conflicts or miscommunication that may happen on-site quickly and amicably Ability to delegate responsibilities and individual projects to the crew and contractors Why You'll Love Working for Us:

Must be 18 years of age or older Previous experience working in Maintenance of Way, Railroad Construction or Railroad Maintenance Previous experience as a construction superintendent in heavy civil industry Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites Positive attitude, the ability to motivate team members on site, and the skills to communicate and report effectively In-depth understanding of construction operations and processes Understanding of use and maintenance of electrical and hydraulic systems Accountability and integrity are essential as the decisions made in the role affect countless others Recognize, avoid, and report potential hazards Must pass all required assessments/trainings and be willing to submit to a background check, pre-employment drug screen, and random drug tests Willing and able to travel to various job sites, including those that require overnight stay and short notice mobilization, and work in all weather conditions (extreme hot, cold, rain, snow, sleet, etc.
) High school diploma or certification in a skilled trade is a plus Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus Physical ability to stand; walk; sit; use hands; talk or hear; climb stairs and/or ladders; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; lift and/or move up to 100 pounds; ability to use close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjust focus We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
